Christmas drawing

Johnson Family

This year for our Christmas drawing, we were wondering if anyone would like to change it up and instead of drawing a family every adult would be in charge of bring one gift. Then we could have a white elephant exchange. If the kids wanted they could also have their own drawing!

Comments please. What does everyone think??

The start of our house
The kiddos being crazy

Finally enough hair for pig tails

Wow, I'm a slacker. Time is truely going by to fast.

Colton is in Preschool and really enjoying playing and learning his ABC's and the sounds each letter make. He still loves playing outside even if it is chilly. He loves playing with his guys and being a cowboy.
Austyn is a littler stinker. She is such a little tease. She is talking more and always wants shoes and a coat so we can "go". She also thinks every thing is gross. She has been going potty once in awhile so hopefully this summer we will not have to buy diapers. Wishful thinking.

One of the most exciting things happening in our lives is we are finally building a house. We get to live right there while it is being built so it is super exciting for the kids. They are now working on putting up the shingles and hopefully soon we will have our windows in it and it will be completely dried in!

Maybe this year I will do better at updating but no promises.

April 30th was an eventful day. We got Colton a new bed and propped his old one up against the couch. Then Steven and Colton were playing and Steven went after him like a bear. Colton crawled up the matress and flipped over and hit his head on the TV stand. Steven picked him up and sure enough he was bleeding. We looked and decided to take him to urgent care. Luckily the doctor was able to glue it back together. So he didn't have to go through the pain of stitches.

Coltons head a week after the accident

Steven, Colton, Austyn, and I decided to go fishing. We got to the fishing spot and it started snowing. Great! Austyn and I stayed in the truck, but Steven and Colton were brave and decided to face the weather and fish anyway. No fish, but we had a great day.

Just some random pics of the kids since It seems like I have a hard time posting.
Colton is getting so big. He is such a great help with Austyn. He loves crawling around with her and chasing after her. She gets a kick out of her brother.

Happy birthday

Wow, It seems like forever since I've last posted. Alot has happened since then.
Our little boy, who isn't so little anymore, turned 4.
He reminds me so much of Steven. He loves guns,
hunting, and fishing. Just being outside is what he likes. He is such a joy in our lives. We are
so glad to have him.

And then 4 years later.

Most times it is crazy at the Johnson house but along with the craziness we have some sweet and joyful time. Colton is still the wild, full of energy boy who loves to go outside even if there is a foot of snow and it is cold as can be. Austyn is growing up so fast. It seems like she should still be in the phase where you put her in one place and she is there when you get back. Unfortunatly she has long passed that phase. She isn't crawling but rolling and when she moves she archs her back and pushes off with her feet. It is so funny. The other night we would tell her "Hi Austyn" and she would raise her hand. It was so cute. Oh how we love when we have the good moments associated with raising kids.

Why did we even buy christmas presents? This kid just needs a box and he is happy.

Austyn happy to see us. Hello Family

Help!! I've lost Colton. Can anyone see him?

Slish, Splash I was taken a bath

Oh the fun of bath

Colton's mohawk

Colton showing off his mohawk

Austyn and her mohawk

Colton and Austyn's favorite time is bath time. They can be crying and crabby and once the water starts running they are laughing and smiling. They love splashing each other and just setting in the warm water.
The other night I decided to give Austyn a mohawk and just see how long her hair was. Once Colton saw he was rolling with laughter. So he wanted one of course.

Christmas is coming

Santa getting Colton's Christmas wish.

Making our Christmas cookies. Yum

Colton is the master at putting sprinkles on the cookies
Colton feeding Austyn her cereal. He does great he even sticks out his tongue.
Austyn's first solid food. She isn't too thrilled.

Just some pictures of our happy little girl

It has been awhile since I last updated. Austyn started eating solid foods. We are still on cereal but she isn't enjoying it. She is so spoiled. Colton is getting so big and is so excited for CHristmas. WE went to the Christmas party and Colton and Austyn set on Santa's lap without crying. Wow. Then Saturday I was putting Austyn down for a nap and colton was playing in his room. We keep hearing a strange horn honk and wondered what was going on. Not a second later Colton was knocking on his window shouting Santa. Sure enough Santa was riding around town on a fire truck with little elfs. Colton ran out on our deck and yelled. They stopped the truck and ran him over a candy cane. He was a happy little boy. He thinks this time of year is great. So do we we are so greatful for the Savior and for the little baby Jesus born in a manger. Merry Christmas to everyone.

Happy Halloween

This Halloween we had a blast. We enjoyed going trick-or-treating to grandma and grandpa and nana and pop. Colton got to carve pumpkins along with mom and dad. We had a busy time carving all seven of our pumpkins that grandma gave us.

Winter Wonderland

The middle of October we all woke up to a cloud of white. Colton was so excited. All he could think about was building a "Frosty". So Steven and I bundled up and got Colton ready to go and off we went to build a snowman. We had a great time.

A couple weeks ago it was such a wonderful day after church so we decided to play a little football. We had such a great time. Colton, Steven and Cupcake sure enjoyed the nice weather and Austyn and I had fun being cheerleaders.

Steven & Cupcake trying to get Colton

Last night Colton, Austyn and I rode with Steven hunting. When we got home Austyn was exhausted. Hunting is hard work. Riding around in a pickup eating gets me tired too.

Colton's new friend

Colton and Cupcake blowing bubbles together
Colton and Cupcake

Our newest member of the family Cupcake

Our sweet little Austyn is getting so big.

The evil villains

When Steven and I first got married we decided our family would not be pet owners. The first reason is I like cats and Steven can't stand them. The second reason is Steven likes dogs and I can't stand them. Well the end of August I finally let my dislike of dogs stop and we ended up getting Colton a new puppy. Her name is Cupcake. And to tell the truth she is a great friend for Colton. He can go out and just run and play with her.

I told Steven when Austyn gets a little bigger and decides she wants a cat he has to give in.

A fun summer

Austyn after bath. Her favorite time.
Austyn enjoying the celebration

Colton and Holli at Manassa Pioneer days. Colton sure enjoyed the train

Colton dancing at the entertainment. In the evening he was dancing by himself and people gave him money for the good job he did. He earned over 3 dollars.

Colton enjoying a delicious B-B-Q sandwich.

Getting ready for the parade

Many wonderful things have happened this summer. To start off with we had a sweet little girl join our family and next Colton started using the potty. After we brought Austyn home from the hospital we decided that two in diapers was just too much and Colton was old enough to use the potty. We had tried befor Austyn was born but he was just too stubborn. Every time was a big fight so we just waited. About two weeks after Austyn was born Colton started going to the bathroom. We are so proud of him and more than that we no longer have to buy diapers for two.

Austyn's Blessing

Colton and Austyn just before church
Austyn getting ready for her special day

Sunday was the day Austyn got a name and a blessing. We were happy to have both our families come. Thanks to everyone for making it a special day
