Getting Ready for Christmas

Colton is so excited for Christmas. Everyday since Halloween Colton would wake up and ask if we could go and get a tree. Finally we gave in Saturday after Thanksgiving. We packed up everything from snow suits to gloves, boots, chili, and hot chocolate and headed up to the mountains. After looking for a while we found one that would be great in our house. Steven and Colton sawed down the tree and loaded it in the back of the truck. We ate our chili and hot chocolate and rushed home to put up the tree, but when we got back our little man was tuckered out and had to take a rest before he could procede with the tree. Finally we finished and here is the end result.

Lot of ZZZZZZZZ"S

Lately this is what you would see if you came over to our house. Before Thanksgiving Colton came down with Rotavirus, which is a stomach virus, and was sick for about a week. We took him to the doctor and he was prescribed some medicine which he had to take for two weeks. Right after he was done with the medicine he was fine for a couple of days and now he is sick again. Not with Rotavirus but with a severe cold and cough. He has been sleeping mostly all day and drinking alot of sprite. We sure hope this ends soon. We want our wild little boy back.

Updating at last!

Life just goes so fast most of the time it is hard to keep up. Halloween flew by and now it is almost Thanksgiving, but we are barely posting our Halloween pics so maybe when Christmas is here I will post the Thanksgiving ones we will take. Here are a few pictures of our Monster.

Our Progress

Our Home

Colton and his pumpkins

Here is Coltons favorite thing to do now. He will get in the trench and
run back and forth and of course get his shovel and dig.

Here is the start of our natural gas. So far we just have a nice big trench in our yard.

One More Project!

Spring and Summer have been dedicated to getting our house moved and all put together. First we started with moving our house into Manassa on our property the end of March. From then on Steven, Colton, and I have been keeping ourselves busy. Frist Steven with the help of his dad connected the water and sewer. Them we textured and painted almost every room in our house. Fixed outlets, lights, and trim. Steps to our house were next since I was getting sick of using sinder blocks and almost breaking my ankle every time I came out of the house. Next we planted a yard! (We are thrilled about that, especially Colton). Now our last project (till next year) is getting our natural gas in.

We are so happy that everything is going so well and that we are almost done with all the work it takes to first set up a trailer. We are so excited to be in our own place and be in Manassa. We are truely blessed!

Birthday Fun

Our fun time 4-wheeling

Steven's birthday party

Happy Happy Birthday!

Friday was Steven's birthday. He decided he wanted to go camping, so Thursday we loaded up everything we could get in the pickup and headed up to the cabin. We had such a fun time. Colton loved every second. Friday we slept in and then decided to go on a 4-wheeler ride. Turned out it was very eventful. We road from the cabin all the way to spruce hole and over Oasier and back to the cabin. We were able to see the train, 2 deer, and we even got rained on and then hailed on. The hail wasn't that much fun but good thing we had rain jackets. When we got home Natalie and Mike took us up to Alamosa and then Saturday I decided to make Stevens favorite meal, Spinach pie and Lemon Meringue.

Happy Birthday Steven! You are a wonderful Husband and Father.
Love you.

Hey everyone. Thought we would post something since it has been over 6 months. Life is going good. We are now residents of Manassa, CO and loving every second.

Colton now has a yard to play in even though it is getting winter. Colton is getting so big. He will be 2 1/2 the 14 of this month. WoW how time flies.

Steven is still staying busy doing Immigration Enforcement. He keeps the road hot going to Pueblo, Denver, and everywhere else when someone needs him to do interviews. He also had to help with the Democratic National Convention last month but is glad that is over. Gratefully, nothing big happened.

I'm back in school. It's great to be able just to do part time so I can stay at home with my lil' man. I'm taking two classes one on the study of lit and another in stats. Hopefully, I can get past them and graduate with my Assossiates this fall!! Keep my fingers cross that it will happen things always change.

We will try to post often. Hope all is well with everyone else.

Next time we will put up pics.
