Christmas is coming

Santa getting Colton's Christmas wish.

Making our Christmas cookies. Yum

Colton is the master at putting sprinkles on the cookies
Colton feeding Austyn her cereal. He does great he even sticks out his tongue.
Austyn's first solid food. She isn't too thrilled.

Just some pictures of our happy little girl

It has been awhile since I last updated. Austyn started eating solid foods. We are still on cereal but she isn't enjoying it. She is so spoiled. Colton is getting so big and is so excited for CHristmas. WE went to the Christmas party and Colton and Austyn set on Santa's lap without crying. Wow. Then Saturday I was putting Austyn down for a nap and colton was playing in his room. We keep hearing a strange horn honk and wondered what was going on. Not a second later Colton was knocking on his window shouting Santa. Sure enough Santa was riding around town on a fire truck with little elfs. Colton ran out on our deck and yelled. They stopped the truck and ran him over a candy cane. He was a happy little boy. He thinks this time of year is great. So do we we are so greatful for the Savior and for the little baby Jesus born in a manger. Merry Christmas to everyone.

Happy Halloween

This Halloween we had a blast. We enjoyed going trick-or-treating to grandma and grandpa and nana and pop. Colton got to carve pumpkins along with mom and dad. We had a busy time carving all seven of our pumpkins that grandma gave us.

Winter Wonderland

The middle of October we all woke up to a cloud of white. Colton was so excited. All he could think about was building a "Frosty". So Steven and I bundled up and got Colton ready to go and off we went to build a snowman. We had a great time.

A couple weeks ago it was such a wonderful day after church so we decided to play a little football. We had such a great time. Colton, Steven and Cupcake sure enjoyed the nice weather and Austyn and I had fun being cheerleaders.

Steven & Cupcake trying to get Colton

Last night Colton, Austyn and I rode with Steven hunting. When we got home Austyn was exhausted. Hunting is hard work. Riding around in a pickup eating gets me tired too.

Colton's new friend

Our sweet little Austyn is getting so big.

The evil villains

When Steven and I first got married we decided our family would not be pet owners. The first reason is I like cats and Steven can't stand them. The second reason is Steven likes dogs and I can't stand them. Well the end of August I finally let my dislike of dogs stop and we ended up getting Colton a new puppy. Her name is Cupcake. And to tell the truth she is a great friend for Colton. He can go out and just run and play with her.

I told Steven when Austyn gets a little bigger and decides she wants a cat he has to give in.

A fun summer

Austyn after bath. Her favorite time.
Austyn enjoying the celebration

Colton and Holli at Manassa Pioneer days. Colton sure enjoyed the train

Colton dancing at the entertainment. In the evening he was dancing by himself and people gave him money for the good job he did. He earned over 3 dollars.

Colton enjoying a delicious B-B-Q sandwich.

Getting ready for the parade

Many wonderful things have happened this summer. To start off with we had a sweet little girl join our family and next Colton started using the potty. After we brought Austyn home from the hospital we decided that two in diapers was just too much and Colton was old enough to use the potty. We had tried befor Austyn was born but he was just too stubborn. Every time was a big fight so we just waited. About two weeks after Austyn was born Colton started going to the bathroom. We are so proud of him and more than that we no longer have to buy diapers for two.

One month already

I can't believe our new little girl is already a month old. Where does the time go. She is getting so big too. She is already working on her third chin.

Colton still loves his little sister. I guess the new hasn't wore off yet.

For naps Colton wants his sister to sleep by him so the other day I had him lay on the couch while she sleep in her bouncy chair. He had to hold her hand so he knew she was there the whole time.

Blessing Day

We have had several people ask when we were planning on blessing Austyn. So for all of you who were wondering we are planning on blessing her July 5th.

We know several of you were coming for celebration and we understand that two trips in the month of July is just unrealistic. We also understand that you are busy at work, home, and driving a long way with children is not fun. So we understand if you are not able to attend. Everyone is invited but we truely understand if you cannot be there. And if not we will just see you for celebration.

Colton and Austyn. Hugs and Kisses!

Oh how I love to kiss my sis. But Austyn just wants some peace and quiet.
Colton and Austyn

Sound asleep

And wide awake.

When we found out that we were going to have a new baby the only concern I had is how Colton would adjust. We have been truely blessed because Colton so far has done great. Every morning he wakes up and asks where his baby is. He loves holding her and giving her tons of kisses. But we have to admit Steven and I love giving her kisses and hugs too.

It's a Girl!

Best of buds already.

I am having to get used to the pink. I have been around blue too long I guess.

I can't believe how much hair she has. And how dark it is expecially in the back.

Arriving home from the hospital. Doesn't she look cute in her little dress.

Our baby is finally here and yes it is a girl. I guess the guys were right for once they new it was a little girl. Friday I had a doctors appointment at 11:45 a.m. When we went the doctor said that they thought it would be best to induce. The doc called up to the OB floor and asked about doing it on Saturday, but OB would be low on staff on Saturday. The doc came back in and said what if we induce now. Wow were we suprised. We got a quick lunch and took a bag for Colton to Nana's and off we went to have a baby. I was checked in and medicine was started at 3:30 p.m. to start labor and at 9:57 p.m. our little girl was here. We are so happy she is here and healthy. Here are all the facts.

The Waiting Game!

Another day and yes still pregnant. Who knows this child may be born right on its due date like Colton. Every day I wake up and keep waiting for something to happen, but still nothing. Saturday I thought maybe I needed to do some gardening so Colton and I got on our gloves and headed out to pick weeds. Sunday I was still feeling good so after Steven got home from work we headed out for a walk. Monday here I am and still big and pregnant. My mom and I have decided that this baby has heard how loud family get togethers are and this child has decided it is happier in its cramped space than out with the wild crew. I think this one is going to have to be convinced to come out. Hopefully in five days it will be here. :)

Colton's Fire truck cake

Saturday was a very special day. Our little boy turned 3. I can't believe how fast time flies. We started the day off with Colton's favorite breakfast, biscuits and gravy. Then mom worked on his cake with a little help from both Colton and Steven we were able to make a fire truck cake. That was stressful. Next we rode up to Alamosa for some food and playing at Mcdonald's. That night we had a little party for our birthday boy. Nana, Papa, Grandma Johnson, and Cary were all there to wish Colton a Happy Birthday. Boy did he have a great time. He got so many great gifts. Thanks everyone. One toy Colton got was a gun set. That night after the party we had to get them out and have a couple of gun fights before we could get any sleep. Then Sunday we were able to fly his kite he got and now every morning he gets up eats breakfast and then out comes the play dough to make all kinds of fun things.

We are so glad we have a wonderful little boy to liven up our lives. We love you, Colton.
